Justice K G Balakrishnan,one of the great Pulayas

Supreme Court Chief Justice designate Justice K G Balakrishnan is the pride of pulaya community,which was considered as the lowest among all castes of kerala.Some critics said that K R Narayanan was made President of India,because he belongs scheduledcommunity.These
critics are not seeing the ability and skill of dalit perosnalities.
But as far as J.Balakrishnan is concerned,he achieved this post by hard work and his judicial skills.Considering his community,he is the first person who is ever becoming a World citizen.

AYYANKALI

Ayyankali was one of the greatest freedom fighters of kerala.But he mainly foccused the independance of dalits .He gave first preference to education of dalits.He was born in Venganoor,Thiruvananthapuram.
During his life time(1863-1941),the condition of dalits were very worst.Ayyankali was nominated to the SRIMULAM PRAJA SABHA,then legislature of Travancore.
